Fever-Tree was founded in the United Kingdom in 2004 by Charles Rolls and Tim Warrillow. The brand was birthed from the observation that the beverage industry was flooded with low-quality mixers that frequently used artificial sweeteners and cheap ingredients, which often overwhelmed the premium gins and spirits they were meant to complement. Fever-Tree's approach was to travel to the ends of the earth to source highest quality ingredients like quinine from the Democratic Republic of Congo and oils from Mediterranean citrus fruits, leading to the creation of their flagship Mediterranean Tonic Water.
Today, the brand is owned by Fevertree Drinks PLC, which remains headquartered in the UK. While the original manufacturing and primary production base remain in the United Kingdom, the company has expanded its manufacturing footprint to other global regions, including the United States, to reduce carbon footprint and meet growing international demand. Fever-Tree has established itself as a dominant player in the premium mixer category globally and is widely distributed across the Swedish market through various retail and specialized beverage channels.
