Saltletts, originally known as 'Salzletten', is a flagship pretzel brand under the Lorenz Snack-World portfolio. The brand traces its history back to 1935 when it was introduced as Germany's first pretzel stick brand. Its creation was inspired by similar snacks found in the United States, which were then adapted for the European market with a focus on high-quality ingredients and traditional baking methods.

Today, the brand is owned by the Lorenz Group, a family-owned German company that split from the Bahlsen brand in 1999. Lorenz is a major player in the European snack market, producing a variety of chips, pretzels, and nut snacks. While originating in Germany, the production of Saltletts now spans several facilities across Central and Eastern Europe, particularly in Germany and Poland, to serve an international customer base reaching over 80 countries.
