Schönramer Weißbier is a traditional German wheat beer produced by the Private Landbrauerei Schönram GmbH & Co. KG, a family-owned brewery based in Petting, Bavaria. Established in 1780, the brewery is renowned for its commitment to traditional brewing methods and high-quality beers. The Schönramer Weißbier is characterized by its full-bodied flavor and complex spicy to fruity aromas, achieved through bottle and cask fermentation. This process imparts a refreshing, creamy carbonation and ensures the beer remains unfiltered and unpasteurized, containing live yeast. The beer has an alcohol content of 5.3%, a Stammwürze (original gravity) of 12.7°P, and a color of 12.0 EBC. It is available in 0.5-liter bottles and 30-liter kegs. The brewery's dedication to quality has been recognized with awards such as the Bronze Award for South German-Style Amber Wheat Beer at the European Beer Star in 2008. (schoenramer.de) As of 2026, the brewery remains independently owned by the Schönram family, with no known subsidiaries.
