Method is a well-known brand specializing in eco-friendly and sustainably minded household cleaning products. Launched in 2001, the brand gained popularity for its sleek, modern bottle designs and plant-derived cleaning formulas. Today, Method products are widely available globally and are recognized for their focus on biodegradable ingredients and cruelty-free practices.

The brand was originally founded in San Francisco, California, by Adam Lowry and Eric Ryan. After a period of independent growth, Method was acquired in 2012 by the Belgian eco-cleaning giant Ecover. Subsequently, both brands were acquired by S. C. Johnson & Son in 2017. As of 2026, the brand continues to operate under the SC Johnson portfolio, maintaining a significant manufacturing presence in Chicago at their LEED-platinum certified factory known as the South Side Soapbox, though production for European markets often takes place in Belgium or the United Kingdom.
