Signal Messaging App

Signal is a secure, end-to-end encrypted messaging application that allows users to send text messages, make voice and video calls, and share multimedia content. It was developed by Moxie Marlinspike and Stuart Anderson in 2010 under the name Whisper Systems, which later became Open Whisper Systems. In 2018, the Signal Foundation was established as a non-profit organization to oversee the development of Signal, with initial funding from Brian Acton, co-founder of WhatsApp. The foundation operates Signal Messenger LLC as its subsidiary, which manages the app's development and operations. Signal is headquartered in Mountain View, California, and is available for use worldwide, with its servers distributed across multiple countries to ensure global accessibility and reliability.
