Zoégas Skånerost coffee

Zoégas Skånerost is a classic Swedish dark-roasted coffee with a heritage dating back to 1918. Originally developed as "Horn's Blend" for Hotel Horn (now Savoy) in Malmö, it has become one of Sweden's most iconic coffee varieties, known for its powerful aroma and hints of dark berries.

The brand was founded in 1886 by Carlos and Maria Zoéga in Helsingborg, Sweden. Carlos had brought his coffee knowledge from Brazil, and after his early death, Maria Zoéga successfully led and expanded the company. Today, the production remains deeply rooted in Helsingborg, where the coffee is roasted and packed at the company's modern facility on Ängelholmsvägen.

In 1986, coinciding with its 100th anniversary, Zoégas was acquired by the Swedish food company Findus, which was already a subsidiary of Nestlé. Today, Zoégas is fully owned by the Swiss multinational Nestlé and operates as part of Nestlé Sverige AB, maintaining its focus on dark roasts and sustainable sourcing.
