CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotion

CeraVe was founded in 2005 by researchers in the United States who collaborated with dermatologists to develop a line of skin care products designed to help repair and strengthen the skin barrier. The brand unique focus is on ceramides—essential lipids found naturally in the skin. In 2017, the global cosmetics giant L'Oréal acquired CeraVe from Valeant Pharmaceuticals (now Bausch Health Companies Inc.), which significantly accelerated its international distribution.

Today, CeraVe is one of the fastest-growing skincare brands globally. While the brand originated in the USA, much of the manufacturing for the European and international markets takes place in France, though production facilities are also located in North America to serve local markets. The brand remains under the Active Cosmetics Division of L'Oréal, headquartered in Clichy, France.
