Bang & Olufsen (B&O) is a Danish company founded in 1925 by Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen. The company is renowned for its high-end audio products, televisions, and telephones, combining technological sophistication with exceptional design. B&O's products are manufactured in multiple countries, including Denmark and the Czech Republic. The company has collaborated with various automotive brands, such as Audi, Aston Martin, and Ford, to develop advanced sound systems for luxury vehicles. In 2016, B&O outsourced its television production to LG Electronics, and in 2017, it sold its largest production facility in the Czech Republic to Tymphany, a Hong Kong-based audio accessory manufacturer. Despite these changes, Bang & Olufsen A/S remains the ultimate owner of the brand, headquartered in Denmark.
