Schweppes soft drink

Schweppes is a historic brand originally created in 1783 in Geneva, Switzerland, by Johann Jacob Schweppe, who developed the first practical process to manufacture carbonated mineral water. Over the centuries, the brand has become a global household name, famous for its tonic water and diverse range of ginger ales and fruit-flavored sodas.

Ownership of the Schweppes brand is complex and geographically divided. In most of Europe, including France where this specific product is distributed, the brand is owned by Suntory Beverage & Food Europe, following their acquisition of the Orangina Schweppes Group in 2009. Manufacturing for the European market is primarily localized, with significant production facilities located in France.

While Suntory controls the brand in Europe and several other regions, other entities such as Keurig Dr Pepper hold the rights in the United States, and Coca-Cola administers it in various other global territories. This product specifically falls under the Suntory umbrella, headquartered in Japan through its ultimate parent company.
