Organic Maps

Organic Maps is a free, open-source offline map and GPS navigation application designed for travelers, hikers, and cyclists. It operates without internet connectivity by utilizing OpenStreetMap data, ensuring user privacy by not collecting personal information or tracking locations. The application is developed by Organic Maps OÜ, an Estonian company founded in early 2021 as a fork of the Maps.me app. The founders, Alexander Borsuk and Viktar Havaka, initiated the project to create a privacy-respecting alternative to existing navigation apps. Organic Maps is available on multiple platforms, including Android, iOS, macOS, and Linux, and is known for its detailed offline maps, turn-by-turn navigation with voice guidance, and features like cycling routes, hiking trails, and elevation profiles. The app is continually updated by a community of contributors, ensuring its relevance and accuracy for users worldwide.
