In November 2017, PureGym was acquired by Leonard Green & Partners, a private equity firm based in Los Angeles, California. Prior to this, the company was majority-owned by funds affiliated with CCMP Capital Advisors, LP, which had acquired a majority stake in May 2013. The acquisition by Leonard Green & Partners marked a significant milestone in PureGym's growth and expansion strategy. As of January 2025, PureGym continues to operate under the ownership of Leonard Green & Partners, with no known subsidiaries owning the brand locally.
