Teacher's Highland Cream is a renowned blended Scotch whisky originating from Glasgow, Scotland. Established in 1830 by William Teacher, the brand has a rich heritage in the whisky industry. The 'Highland Cream' blend, introduced in 1884, is distinguished by its high malt content, approximately 45%, and the use of fully peated single malt whisky from The Ardmore distillery in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. This unique combination imparts a deep, rich flavor with smoky undertones. In 1976, William Teacher & Sons Ltd. was acquired by Allied Breweries, which later became part of Allied Lyons in 1978 and subsequently Allied Domecq in 1994. In 2005, Suntory Holdings, a Japanese company headquartered in Osaka, Japan, acquired Allied Domecq, including the Teacher's brand. Today, Teacher's Highland Cream continues to be produced in Scotland under the ownership of Suntory Global Spirits, a subsidiary of Suntory Holdings, maintaining its legacy as a premium blended Scotch whisky.
