DAF trucks

DAF Trucks, established in 1928 by the Van Doorne brothers in Eindhoven, Netherlands, began as a trailer manufacturer and expanded into truck production. Over the years, DAF has become a leading European truck manufacturer, known for its innovation and quality. In 1996, DAF Trucks became a wholly-owned subsidiary of PACCAR Inc., a U.S.-based company that also owns Kenworth and Peterbilt. Despite this ownership, DAF maintains its engineering and design heritage in Eindhoven, Netherlands, while leveraging PACCAR’s global resources. Manufacturing facilities are located in Eindhoven (Netherlands), Westerlo (Belgium), Leyland (United Kingdom), Ponta Grossa (Brazil), Bayswater (Australia), and Dadu (Taiwan).
