Marabou Apelsinkrokant is a flavored Marabou chocolate bar featuring orange-flavored (apelsin) and crunchy brittle (krokant) pieces. The packaging in the photo matches Marabou’s Swedish product line and variant names.
Marabou was created in Sweden in 1916 (production from 1919) by Johan Throne Holst as the Swedish counterpart to the Norwegian Freia brand. Over the 20th century Marabou grew into one of Sweden’s best-known chocolate brands, with production historically concentrated in the Stockholm area (notably Upplands Väsby).
Marabou chocolate bars — including flavored variants such as Apelsinkrokant — are manufactured primarily in Sweden under the Marabou brand. Today production and distribution are operated within Mondelez’s regional structure (often referenced as Mondelez Sweden for local production and packaging).
Marabou remains the brand name and product identity, but ultimate ownership is held by Mondelez International, a U.S.-headquartered multinational snack company (the business descends from Kraft Foods acquisitions). Mondelez manages the brand globally while maintaining local production in Sweden for the Nordic market.
