Twix is a chocolate‑caramel biscuit bar first produced by Mars' operations in the United Kingdom in 1967. The name refers to the product's twin sticks; over time Twix expanded from the UK into global markets and became a core confectionery brand of Mars.
Twix is manufactured in multiple countries depending on the market: North American Twix production is known to take place in Cleveland, Tennessee (USA), while European production is carried out in factories such as Mars' Veghel facility in the Netherlands and other regional plants. Large multinational confectionery brands like Twix are therefore produced across a global manufacturing network and packaged for local markets (hence "Multiple countries").
Twix remains owned by Mars, Incorporated and is managed within its confectionery arm (Mars Wrigley). Mars, Incorporated is an American, family‑owned company headquartered in the United States, operating numerous regional subsidiaries (for example Mars GmbH in Germany and Mars Nederland) that handle local production, marketing and distribution.
