Generic adhesive stickers (also called decals or labels) are a broad stationery product category used for branding, decoration, labeling, and crafts. They typically consist of a face material (paper, vinyl, polypropylene, or PVC), an adhesive layer (permanent, removable, or repositionable), and a backing liner. Stickers are manufactured in both sheet and roll formats and come die-cut, kiss-cut, or as full-sheet products.
Production is global: small converters and large printing facilities manufacture stickers in multiple countries. Common manufacturing hubs include China, the United States, European countries (Germany, Poland, United Kingdom, etc.), and other regional printing centers in Asia and Latin America. Because production capacity is widely distributed and many businesses operate regional print-on-demand services, the correct manufacturing country for a specific sticker product depends on the seller and SKU—hence "Multiple countries."
Many stickers are sold under brand names (for example, stationery brands or custom-print services), but a large portion of stickers are unbranded or sold by independent sellers. There is no single company that owns the generic sticker category. Brand-origin and company-of-origin details will vary by labeled product—if a specific branded sticker is being examined, provide the product image or SKU for precise brand and ownership tracing.
