Arabia Moomin mugs are designed in Finland but most modern production runs are manufactured in Thailand (with some historic and special-edition runs produced in Finland). The Arabia brand is a long-established Finnish ceramics maker; the Moomin characters were created by Finnish author-artist Tove Jansson and are managed/licensed by Moomin Characters Oy Ltd. Arabia (the ceramics brand) is part of Fiskars Group’s portfolio—Fiskars is the ultimate owner of the Arabia brand and handles brand-level operations, while Moomin Characters remains the copyright/licensing owner of the characters used on the mugs.
