Rockstar is an American energy‑drink brand founded in 2001 by Russell Weiner. The pictured can is the Mango flavour (the can artwork and the visible “MANGO FLAVOUR” and German language text such as “MIT FRUCHTSAFT” indicate a European-market variant of Rockstar Mango).
Rockstar was created in the United States in 2001. PepsiCo acquired the Rockstar brand in 2020 and operated it globally; in 2025 a transaction reallocated U.S. and Canadian ownership/operating rights to Celsius Holdings while PepsiCo retained international rights and continues to handle global distribution through its regional subsidiaries. Consequently, Rockstar’s ultimate ownership is split by territory: PepsiCo remains the global/international owner/distributor in most markets, and Celsius Holdings operates the brand in the U.S. and Canada under the 2025 arrangement.
Rockstar is produced regionally by co‑packers and PepsiCo/Celsius contract facilities in multiple countries to serve local markets (Europe, North America and other regions). The presence of German text on the can suggests this particular can was produced or packaged for the German/European market. Because Rockstar is manufactured and filled regionally, the product should be considered produced in multiple countries rather than a single origin.
