Kungsfågel (English: Goldcrest; scientific name Regulus regulus) is a wild passerine bird species, not a consumer product or commercial brand. The species is one of Europe’s smallest birds (around 9 cm in length) and inhabits coniferous and mixed forests, parks and gardens across much of Eurasia. In Sweden the kungsfågel is common and widely distributed in suitable forest habitat. Because this is a biological species rather than a manufactured item, there is no manufacturing country, barcode, brand origin, or corporate ownership to report. Information about the kungsfågel typically covers its identification (tiny size, greenish upperparts, pale underparts, and a distinctive golden/orange crown patch in males), diet (mainly insects and spiders), nesting (compact moss-and-lichen nests in conifers), distribution (widespread across Europe and into parts of Asia), and conservation status (generally widespread and not currently threatened in most of its range).
