Monki Tahin is an organic tahini (sesame paste) sold under the Monki brand. Available variants commonly include unsalted and salted tahini and size formats such as 330 g and 650 g. Origin and manufacturing

The Monki brand and product are produced by Horizon Natuurvoeding BV. Horizon operates a production and packing facility in IJsselstein, the Netherlands, where they roast, mill and jar nut- and seed-based pastes (including Monki tahin). While sesame seeds and other raw ingredients are sourced internationally, the processing and final packaging of Monki tahin is carried out primarily in the Netherlands.

Ownership and distribution

Horizon Natuurvoeding BV — founded in 1978 and owner of brands including Horizon, Monki, Jori and Krekeltje — is the company of origin behind Monki. In June 2022 the company became part of the Anders Invest Food & Agri Fund (Anders Invest), which is the ultimate owner as of 2026. Monki products are distributed across European markets via Horizon's wholesale and retail channels and through regional distributors and e‑commerce retailers.
