Red Bull Energy Drink was created by Dietrich Mateschitz in partnership with Thai entrepreneur Chaleo Yoovidhya. The product was developed and launched from Austria (company founded 1984; original drink launch April 1, 1987) after adapting the Thai product Krating Daeng for Western markets. The Red Bull brand and its signature energy drink formulation were established by Red Bull GmbH in Fuschl am See, Austria.
