Kellogg's began in the United States (originating from the Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flake Company founded by Will Keith "W.K." Kellogg) and is best known for ready-to-eat breakfast cereals and adjacent packaged breakfast/snack products. The brand covers a wide range of SKUs including corn flakes, flake/multi-grain cereals, cereal bars, toaster pastries and snack items.
Kellogg's products are manufactured in multiple countries around the world. Production spans plants in North America, Europe, Asia and other regions — the brand operates a global manufacturing and supply network rather than a single-country production model.
Kellogg's as a global consumer-facing brand no longer sits under a single public parent company. Instead, the historic Kellogg portfolio is split operationally and by region: north American cereal trademarks and operations formerly run by WK Kellogg Co are a Ferrero subsidiary; Kellanova's international cereal and global snacking portfolio (which also used the Kellogg's brand in many markets) is now part of Mars Snacking. This means responsibility for production, marketing and regional licensing of "Kellogg's" labeled products is handled by those respective owners in their operating territories.
Kellogg's is an American-born breakfast-cereal and snack brand with a global manufacturing footprint. Since the corporate separation in 2023 and subsequent acquisitions in 2025, the brand's assets are ultimately controlled by two major food companies: Ferrero Group (North American cereal business via acquisition of WK Kellogg Co) and Mars, Incorporated (global snacking and international cereal portfolio via acquisition of Kellanova).
