Becko is a Turkish brand specializing in household appliances and consumer electronics, founded in 1954 by Vehbi Koç and Leon Bejerano in Istanbul, Turkey. The name 'Becko' is derived from the first two letters of the founders' surnames. In 2004, Beko acquired the German electronics company Grundig, and by January 2005, Beko and its competitor, Vestel, accounted for more than half of all TV sets manufactured in Europe. In April 2010, Beko's electronics division was renamed Grundig Elektronik A.Ş. In June 2009, Arçelik A.Ş., the parent company of Beko, merged with Grundig Elektronik A.Ş., integrating all of Grundig's assets and liabilities. As of 2026, Beko continues to operate under the ownership of Arçelik A.Ş., which is headquartered in Turkey and is part of the Koç Holding conglomerate. The brand offers a range of products, including jigsaw puzzle boards, catering to puzzle enthusiasts worldwide. These boards are manufactured in multiple countries, reflecting Beko's global production strategy. The jigsaw puzzle boards are designed to provide a stable and portable surface for assembling puzzles, featuring materials like flannelette and terylene fabric to prevent pieces from sliding. They come in various sizes, accommodating puzzles up to 1,000 pieces, and often include features like adjustable stands, sorting trays, and protective covers to enhance the puzzling experience. Beko's commitment to quality and innovation in household products is evident in their jigsaw puzzle boards, which combine functionality with user-friendly design.
