Duyvis is a quintessential Dutch brand with roots dating back to 1806 when Teunis Duyvis established an oil mill in the Zaanstreek region. For generations, the family-owned business expanded from oil and livestock feed into the snack industry, eventually becoming a household name in the Netherlands known for its nuts, dips, and cocktail snacks.
In the 20th century, Duyvis became famous for its catchy advertising and high-quality processing of peanuts and tree nuts. The brand underwent corporate changes in the late 1980s, joining the Akzo portfolio before being acquired by PepsiCo in 2006. Today, Duyvis operates as a major subsidiary of PepsiCo, maintaining its lead in the Dutch market while utilizing PepsiCo’s global manufacturing and distribution networks. While the brand heritage remains firmly rooted in the Netherlands, production is integrated into the larger European supply chain of its parent company.
