The rebranding includes a new brand identity, packaging design, and communication strategy for Serengeti Lager, Serengeti Lite, and the newly announced Serengeti Lemon. Serengeti Lager is produced in Tanzania, with breweries located in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, and Moshi. In 2010, Serengeti Breweries Limited was acquired by East African Breweries Limited (EABL), a subsidiary of Diageo plc, the world's largest premium drinks company. This acquisition has led to increased investment in international quality standards and expanded job opportunities in Tanzania. Serengeti Lager is widely distributed throughout East Africa and has become one of the most popular bottled beer brands in the region.
