Mactac Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive Materials

Mactac, established in the United States in 1959 by Burt Morgan and Greg Bemis, is a leading supplier of pressure-sensitive adhesive materials. The company has expanded its operations globally, with manufacturing facilities in multiple countries, including the United States, Belgium, and Mexico. In August 2016, Platinum Equity acquired Mactac from Bemis Company, Inc. and subsequently sold Mactac's European business to Avery Dennison for €200 million. In October 2016, Platinum Equity sold Mactac's North American business to LINTEC Corporation, a Japanese manufacturer of adhesive-related products, for approximately $375 million. As of January 2026, Mactac operates as a subsidiary of LINTEC Corporation, continuing to provide innovative adhesive solutions across various industries.
