Havrefras Original is a popular breakfast cereal in Denmark, known for its crispy and airy oat pillows made from Nordic whole grain oats. The product is rich in fiber and contains 78% whole grain, making it a healthy choice for consumers. The brand was first launched in 1959 under the name 'Fraspuder' and quickly became a favorite among both children and adults. In 1971, the name was changed to Havrefras, solidifying its position as a classic on breakfast tables. The Quaker Oats Company, which had been managing the brand, was acquired by PepsiCo in 2001, bringing Havrefras under its portfolio. In 2020, Orkla ASA, a Norwegian company, acquired the Havrefras brand, including Rug Fras and Mini Fras, from PepsiCo. This acquisition allowed Orkla to strengthen its position as a leading branded consumer goods supplier in the Nordic region. Orkla Foods Sverige AB, a subsidiary of Orkla ASA, now manages the Havrefras brand, continuing to offer families a nutritious and crispy start to their day. The product is manufactured in Denmark, ensuring its quality and adherence to local food standards. The brand's commitment to health is evident through its Green Keyhole label, a recognition from the Danish Food Agency for healthier food choices.
