In 2022, Lacer S.A. was acquired by the Italfarmaco Group, an Italian multinational chemical-pharmaceutical company based in Milan. This acquisition allowed the brand to maintain its strong Spanish identity and local manufacturing presence while benefiting from Italfarmaco's global distribution network. As of 2026, the brand continues to lead the pharmacy channel in Spain and is expanding its reach into international markets under Italian ownership.
