Skogaholmslimpa is a classic Swedish bread, first introduced in 1926. It is a soft, sweet loaf made with wheat and sifted rye flour, offering a moist and tender texture. The bread is traditionally baked in a free-form style, allowing it to rise naturally into its distinctive shape. Skogaholmslimpa is versatile, suitable for various occasions such as breakfast, snacks, or picnics. It is also excellent for toasting. The brand Skogaholm originated in Sweden and has been a staple in Swedish households for decades. In 2011, the brand introduced Gretas Gårdsbröd, a rustic bread made with fine spelt flour and seeds like millet and flaxseed, honoring the founder Greta Eriksson. In 2017, Skogaholm launched Rustik Gårdslimpa, a hearty loaf baked with scalded whole-grain rye, reflecting traditional baking methods. In 2024, the brand updated its packaging design and logo to celebrate its approaching 100th anniversary, paying homage to its iconic Skogaholmslimpa. Skogaholm is currently owned by Fazer Group, a Finnish company known for its bakery and confectionery products, which operates in multiple countries and exports globally.
