Pets at Home is the UK's leading pet care business, offering a comprehensive range of products and services for pet owners. Founded in 1991 by Anthony Preston, the company has grown to operate over 450 stores across the UK, providing pet food, toys, bedding, medication, grooming, and veterinary care. In 1999, Pets at Home expanded by acquiring PetSmart UK, adding 140 stores to its portfolio. The company was sold to Bridgepoint Capital in 2004 and later to KKR in 2010. In 2014, Pets at Home was listed on the London Stock Exchange as a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index. As of 2025, the company continues to operate under the ownership of Pets at Home Group PLC, headquartered in Handforth, Cheshire, United Kingdom.
