Pharmacy2U is the UK's leading online pharmacy, founded in 1999 by pharmacist Daniel Lee. It was awarded an NHS contract in 2001 to pilot the electronic processing of prescriptions across England, now known as the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). The company dispenses and delivers around 1.6 million NHS repeat prescription items monthly to patients' homes across the UK. In 2016, Pharmacy2U merged with ChemistDirect.co.uk, a specialist in over-the-counter remedies, with ChemistDirect.co.uk's CEO, Mark Livingstone, becoming the CEO of the combined entity. In October 2023, Pharmacy2U acquired LloydsDirect, further consolidating its position in the online pharmacy sector. The company operates from facilities in Leeds and Leicestershire, employing automated dispensing systems to support its growth. As of 2024, Pharmacy2U reported sales of £199 million. The company is regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and holds an NHS mail-order pharmacy contract. Its head office is located at Lumina, Park Approach, Thorpe Park, Leeds LS15 8GB.
