Douwe Egberts Aroma Rood is a popular coffee blend from the Netherlands, known for its aromatic, smooth, and rich flavor with balanced acidity. The blend combines strong Robusta beans with aromatic Arabica beans, roasted using Douwe Egberts' signature technique. The company, Douwe Egberts, was founded in 1753 in Joure, Netherlands, by Egbert Douwes as a general grocery shop, which later specialized in coffee, tea, and tobacco. In 1925, it changed its name to Douwe Egberts. In 2015, Douwe Egberts merged with Jacobs Coffee to form Jacobs Douwe Egberts, which is now a subsidiary of JAB Holding Company, a German conglomerate. The Aroma Rood blend is available in various forms, including ground coffee and instant coffee, and is suitable for most coffee preparation methods. (de.nl)
