Croky is a renowned Belgian brand of potato chips, established in 1966 by the Huyghe family in the vicinity of Ypres. The brand's name is inspired by the family's pet parrot, Croky, who also serves as its mascot. Initially, Croky chips were produced in a farmhouse setting, reflecting the brand's humble beginnings. Over the years, Croky has expanded its product range to include various flavors and snack types, catering to diverse consumer preferences. The brand's commitment to quality and innovation has solidified its position in the Belgian snack market. In 1998, PepsiCo acquired the rights to the Croky brand in France, leading to the closure of the Deventer factory in the Netherlands in 2006. Subsequently, the Huyghe family reacquired the brand rights, and production resumed in Mouscron, Belgium. Today, Croky continues to be a significant player in the snack industry, offering a variety of products that embody the brand's rich heritage and dedication to quality.
