Odlo is a premium performance apparel brand with a unique dual heritage. Founded in 1946 by Odd Roar Lofterød Sr. in Oslo, Norway, the brand was built on the innovation of technical base layers for speed skaters and skiers. In 1986, the company relocated its headquarters to Switzerland to better serve the European market, blending Norwegian athlete-driven design with Swiss engineering precision.

Today, Odlo is recognized as a leader in the 'three-layer principle' and functional sports underwear. Its manufacturing is notably vertically integrated; approximately 50% to 63% of its products are manufactured in its own state-of-the-art facility in Romania. The brand also utilizes production capabilities in Europe and the Middle East to maintain high quality and sustainability standards. Ownership has transitioned from the founding family to private equity, and since May 2020, it has been owned by Monte Rosa Sports Holding AG, which focus on scaling mid-sized outdoor and sports brands.
