Albal is a French brand specializing in household food packaging products such as aluminum foil, cling film, and parchment paper. The brand was launched in 1965 by the French company Péchiney, which later became part of Dow Chemical. In 1996, Dow Chemical and Melitta, the owner of Handy Bag, formed a joint venture named Cofresco, combining their brands. Cofresco Frischhalteprodukte, a subsidiary of the German company Melitta Group, currently owns the Albal brand. Albal's aluminum foil is produced in multiple countries, ensuring a consistent supply to meet global demand.
