Four Roses Bourbon

Four Roses is a historic Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey brand with a legacy dating back to the late 19th century. The brand gained prominence under the leadership of Paul Jones Jr., who reportedly named the whiskey after a romantic encounter involving four roses worn by his paramour. For decades, it was one of the most popular bourbon brands in the United States before being shifted primarily to international markets for a significant portion of the late 20th century.

Today, all Four Roses bourbon is produced at its historic distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. The brand's unique production process involves ten distinct bourbon recipes created by combining two different mash bills with five proprietary yeast strains. This meticulous approach allows the distillery to create a wide range of flavor profiles, from floral and fruity to spicy and robust.

In terms of ownership, Four Roses underwent several transitions before being acquired by the Kirin Brewery Company of Japan in 2002. Since then, the brand has seen a massive resurgence in the American market, reclaiming its position as a top-tier Kentucky bourbon. It is currently managed by the Four Roses Distillery LLC, which operates as a subsidiary of the Kirin Holdings Company.
