Tuborg Julebryg, often referred to as 'Snebajeren' due to its iconic snowy blue label, is one of Denmark's most beloved seasonal beers. Initially launched in 1981 by the Tuborg brewery, it was actually inspired by a popular holiday commercial featuring a cartoon delivery truck that preceded the liquid product itself. The beer is a bottom-fermented pilsner-style lager with a slightly higher alcohol content and a dark, caramel-rich profile designed specifically for the winter season.

While the brand has deep roots in Tuborg Havn, the brand's production and ownership evolved through the historic merger of Denmark's two largest breweries, Carlsberg and Tuborg, in 1970. Today, Tuborg Julebryg is a staple of 'J-dag' (J-Day), the official holiday in Denmark marking the launch of the Christmas beer.

The brand is currently owned and managed by the Carlsberg Group, a global brewing powerhouse headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. The company remains the primary producer in Denmark, though localized production occurs in several other European and international markets where the Carlsberg Group operates brewing facilities.
