In a revolutionary shift for corporate governance, the brand is now described as "owned by the animals." In 2018, the founders donated the entire capital and voting rights of Almo Nature to the Fondazione Capellino, an independent non-profit organization. This structure, known as the "Reintegration Economy," ensures that 100% of the company's profits (after costs and taxes) are dedicated to protecting biodiversity and animal welfare rather than benefiting private shareholders. As of 2026, it continues to operate as a Benefit S.p.A., integrating public benefit into its core legal status.
