Matter Surfaces, formerly known as Mats Inc., is a family-owned business founded in 1971 in Massachusetts. In June 2022, Mats Inc. rebranded as Matter Surfaces to better reflect its evolution into a design-focused architectural surfaces company. The company is dedicated to sustainability, offering Green Label Plus and FloorScore® certified products, Green Guard certified adhesives, and environmentally friendly maintenance and end-of-life recycling programs. Matter Surfaces operates distribution facilities in Georgia and sales offices throughout the United States, serving various commercial sectors, including retail, healthcare, hospitality, corporate, and multi-family environments.
