Marabou Daim is a Swedish confectionery product that combines smooth milk chocolate with crunchy almond caramel pieces. The Daim bar was created by Marabou in Sweden in the 1950s, inspired by the American Heath bar. Initially launched as 'Dajm' in Sweden and Norway in 1953, it expanded to Finland in 1963 and Denmark in 1971. In 1990, Kraft acquired the brand, and it is currently owned by Mondelez International, a multinational company headquartered in the USA. The product is manufactured in Upplands Väsby, Sweden, and is available in various sizes, including 160g and 220g bars. The ingredients include sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, palm oil, whey powder (from milk), skimmed milk powder, milk fat, whey permeate (from milk), almonds (1%), sweetened condensed skimmed milk, emulsifier (soy lecithins), salt, and flavorings. The milk chocolate contains a minimum of 30% cocoa solids and 14% milk solids. Allergens present are milk, almonds, and soy. The product is stored in a dry place and protected from heat. It may contain other nuts and wheat.
