It has an alcohol content of 4.9% ABV and is one of the most popular pilsners in northern Germany. The brand Haake Beck originated from the C. H. Haake Brauerei, founded in 1826 by Cord Hinrich Haake in Bremen, Germany. In 1981, Haake Beck merged with Beck & Co., and in 2002, the brand was acquired by Interbrew, which later became Anheuser-Busch InBev, the current owner. Anheuser-Busch InBev is headquartered in Belgium and is the world's largest beer company, formed through the merger of Anheuser-Busch and InBev. Haake Beck Pils is primarily brewed in Bremen, Germany, where the original brewery was located.
