Beck's is a renowned German pilsner beer brand, first brewed in 1873 in Bremen, Germany. It is known for its crisp, refreshing taste and is brewed in accordance with the German Reinheitsgebot (purity law) of 1516, using only water, barley, hops, and yeast. The brand was originally established by Lüder Rutenberg, Thomas May, and Heinrich Beck. In 2002, Beck's was acquired by the Belgian brewing company Interbrew, which later merged with Anheuser-Busch in 2008 to form Anheuser-Busch InBev, the current owner. Anheuser-Busch InBev is headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, and is the world's largest beer company. Beck's is primarily brewed in Germany, but production also occurs in other locations to meet global demand. The beer is available in over 120 countries worldwide. (germanbeer.co.uk)
