Warsteiner Alkoholfrei is a premium non-alcoholic pilsener brewed by the Warsteiner Brewery (Warsteiner Brauerei). Established in 1753 by Antonius Cramer in the town of Warstein, Germany, the brand has remained a family-owned enterprise for nine generations. The brewery is famous for using the soft water from the Kaiserquelle (Kaiser Spring) located in the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park, which is central to the beer's distinctively smooth and clean profile.
Today, the brand is managed under the Haus Cramer Group (Warsteiner Group), with Catharina Cramer serving as the owner and key leader. While Warsteiner has international license agreements for production in some regions to serve global markets, the primary manufacturing site and headquarters remain in Warstein, Germany. The company continues to operate as one of Germany's largest privately held breweries, maintaining its independence from large global beverage conglomerates as of 2026.
