In November 2023, Marcolin S.p.A., an Italian eyewear manufacturer, completed the acquisition of ic! berlin, integrating approximately 140 employees from the Berlin headquarters and subsidiaries in Japan and the U.S. This acquisition aimed to enhance Marcolin's expertise in metal craftsmanship and expand its portfolio of luxury brands, strengthening its market position in key regions such as Asia and Europe. Despite the acquisition, ic! berlin continues to produce its eyewear primarily in Germany, maintaining its commitment to high-quality, handmade products. The brand's flagship store is located in Berlin's Mitte district, offering an immersive brand experience and a wide selection of eyewear designs.
