Tanqueray is a hallmark of British distilling history, established by Charles Tanqueray in 1830 in the Bloomsbury district of London. The product is widely recognized by its signature green bottle, which was inspired by a 1920s cocktail shaker design, and the red wax seal that serves as a mark of quality and heritage.

While the brand originated in London, production was moved to the Cameronbridge Distillery in Scotland following the destruction of the original London distillery during World War II. It remains one of the world's most awarded gins, utilizing a four-botanical recipe consisting of juniper, coriander, angelica root, and liquorice.
