Dreher Gold Beer is a premium pale lager produced by Dreher Sörgyárak Zrt., a brewery located in Budapest, Hungary. Established in 1854, Dreher is one of Hungary's oldest and most renowned breweries. The brewery was founded by Anton Dreher, who introduced bottom-fermentation brewing technology and developed Lagerbier, earning him the honorary title 'King of Beer.' Dreher Gold is crafted using only three classic ingredients: barley malt, crystal-clear water, and two varieties of hops, resulting in a beer with a golden color, white foam, and a pleasantly bitter, distinctive taste. In 2002, Dreher Sörgyárak Zrt. became part of the global beverage company Asahi Breweries, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Asahi Breweries is known for its diverse portfolio of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and has a significant presence in the global market. Despite the change in ownership, Dreher continues to produce its traditional beers, including Dreher Gold, maintaining its heritage and quality standards.
