Pommac soft drink

Pommac is a classic Swedish beverage known for its unique flavor profile, which is matured in oak barrels. Invented in 1919 by Anders Lindahl in Stockholm, it was originally marketed as an alcohol-free alternative to wine or champagne for festive occasions. Its recipe consists of a blend of approximately 25 different fruits and berries, giving it a sophisticated, less sweet character compared to traditional sodas.

Starting from the mid-20th century, the brand has seen various ownership changes. In 2004, the major Danish beverage giant Carlsberg Group acquired the Swedish brewery Falcon, which included the production rights and brand ownership of Pommac. Today, Pommac remains a staple in Swedish culture, particularly during celebrations where it is often served in champagne glasses. While the brand originated with the Fructus company, its manufacturing and distribution are now centrally managed by Carlsberg Sverige, ensuring its availability across the Nordic region.
