In May 2025, 3G Capital, a Brazilian-American investment firm, agreed to acquire Skechers for approximately $9.4 billion, taking the company private. The acquisition was expected to close in the third quarter of 2025. Despite this change in ownership, Skechers continues to operate under its original brand name, with its headquarters in Manhattan Beach, California, and a global presence in over 170 countries and territories.
