Trope Peanuts

Trope is a well-known Danish snack brand that specializes in nuts, dried fruits, and confectionery. The brand was founded in 1989 by Henrik Winther-Olsen on his family's farm, Toftkær, in Denmark. It initially grew by introducing then-exotic items like pistachios and banana chips to the Danish market.

While the raw peanuts are sourced globally from major producing regions like China, Argentina, or Egypt, the final product (roasting, salting, and packaging) is typically handled in Denmark. The brand has a history of changing hands; it was sold to KiMs (part of Orkla) in 2004 but was later bought back by the founder in 2008. Since then, it has been a core part of 'The Whole Company Food A/S', which maintains its headquarters and primary operations in Køge, Denmark. The brand remains family-owned by the Winther-Olsen family through The Whole Company.
