Historically part of PepsiCo, the Tropicana brand underwent a major shift in ownership. In early 2022, PepsiCo sold a 61% majority stake in its juice business to PAI Partners, a leading private equity firm. This resulted in the creation of Tropicana Brands Group, which operates as a joint venture where PepsiCo retains a 39% minority interest. The brand continues to focus on premium, 100% pure juices, maintaining its iconic status in the beverage industry.
